nr 005 - FLAGELLATIO BENEVOLENTIAE

Panopticon 005 is a fanzine who that has dug in the foundations of the rites present mainly in the souther italy. These folcloristic rites are mainly related to the church but are identified into the minds and bones of normal people. They are related to the phenomenon of flagellants.
The search for identity star from the "Laudi" by Jacopo da Todi to end in the imagination of Michelangelo and Fobia Paura.
The artists have made the phenomenon of flagellation real and current, almost extremizing it in the symbolistic practice of Michelangelo and in that linked to the world of tattoo by Fobia Fobia Paura, understood as a new flagellative means. The skin, infact, is torn and through the laceration becomes new, pure, uncommon.
The whole is returned in a documentary way from the collage video of Mai Mai Mai.
